Spruce Up the Sturgeon, May 6, 2007

The ninth annual Spruce Up the Sturgeon event occurred on Sunday May 6 this year.

Stuart and Rosalind Loomis were actively involved with City of St. Albert staff on the committee that organized the river bank cleanup. Stuart and Rosalind also arranged for sponsorship by local businesses. Once again the St. Albert Dairy Queen provided cold ice cream bars and Tim Hortons supplied bottled water, coffee, juice, doughnuts, and muffins for hard working volunteers.

Many BLESS members and directors turned out for the event.

Our river is once again looking its best thanks to all the civic minded citizens of our community who devoted their time to Sprucing Up the Sturgeon this year.
