Springing to Life 2007Springing to Life occurred on April 14 and April 21 in 2007. The annual event celebrates the return migration of birds to Alberta and Big Lake. In total, 56 people turned out on both days to observe and record over 4,000 individuals and 37 different species of birds. Worthy of note among the species observed were Double Crested Cormorants, Tundra Swans, Green-winged Teals, Red-breasted Mergansers, Bald Eagles, Osprey, Northern Shrike and Red-Winged Blackbirds.
